Day 1
You’ll be collected at Hoedspruit Airport and driven back to African Impact Base. You’ll be shown to your accommodation and get a tour around the camp. From here you can relax after your long journey, eat some grub, chat to other guests and have Cookie waffle on at you about Honey Badgers while having a drink at the bar
Day 2
Your first full day in South Africa! Enjoy a lie in and after a light breakfast, Cookie will lead presentations on the wildlife of South Africa and the potential anomalies that could be spotted. You’ll have some free time to see the wildlife at camp which includes Hippos + Crocodiles and then get closer to the action on a Sunset River Safari
Day 3
We’re up bright and early today for a full day checking out the local scenic hotspots on the Panorama Route. We’ll stop for lunch in Graskop and visit local outlets where you can buy souvenirs. We’ll head back to the African Impact base for dinner
Day 4
6am start for our first game drive! 4 hours of searching for Africas finest animals. Sightings of Elephants and Giraffe are almost guaranteed. Lions and Leopards frequent the area. We’ll be back to camp for lunch and here you’ll have free time before heading out for Game drive #2 before getting an early night
Day 5
Super early 5am start as we head out to do some conservation work!
This could be helping remove wire or invasive species like Cactus.
We’ll be back to camp for lunch and then to hear from the expert guides about our upcoming trip in to Kruger National Park.

Day 6
Today is a busy day as we head to Hoedspruit to learn about the impacts of wire/snare and their removal, you can also get stuck in to making jewellery from them! After this, you’ll head to the wonderful Moholoholo wildlife sanctuary to get up close to the lovely rescued animals.
We’ll head back to camp and get set up for a night out camping in the bush! Hear the Lions roar and the Hyenas laugh to really give you that sense of adventure. We’ll also head out on Game drive #4 - at night!
Day 7
Wakey wakey it’s Game drive #5! You’ll be back to camp for Lunch, telling stories of the night before and looking forward to Game drive #6!
Relax at the bar for the evening because tomorrow...
We’re heading in to Kruger National Park
Day 8/9
We’ll be up early as It’s the first full day of Kruger!!
We’ll head in to the park and look for some of the showstoppers like Lions, Wild Dogs, Leopards, Cheetah and more. Around midday we’ll have a pitstop to grab a quick lunch before heading out again. We’ll end at Kruger curfew in a rest camp and relax in the restaurant before doing it all again the next day! Optional night drives (recommended)
Day 10
It’s the final full day in Kruger and yet again we’ll be up at gate opening and searching for animals until gate closing. Today though, we’ll head back to the African Impact base after our Kruger antics and have dinner, relax at the bar and enjoy life around the fire.
Day 11
It’s time to say goodbye :( after an easy start to the morning, we’ll get you to the airport and wave you off from your South African adventure
It’s an easy one really, there’s wildlife... everywhere! As this is the Animal Anomalies tour, the highest priority will go to the weird and wonderful, if we get the opportunity to see them. Things like African Wild Dogs, Honey Badgers, Porcupine, Aardvark, they’re rare but we have a chance and will focus on them as and when we can! You will also see Elephants, Giraffe, Zebra, Hippo and Crocodile! All of which can be seen at the camp. Predators are a big draw too so any potential Lions, Leopards and Hyena will be followed. Birds are absolutely everywhere...
